Q) What is this event?
A) The Fanartminator is a competition between artists. You may participate by creating a poster illustration to promote the Goultarminator and posting it to the submission thread. The ten best images from our community will be sent up to compete against images from other communities, fifty in all. The top ten illustrations from those fifty will win prizes and the top five of those ten will also win points for their server's team in the Goultarminator.

Q) Do I have to be a participant in the Goultarminator to enter?
A) No, anyone from any server can enter their community's contest. Those who are participating in the Goultarminator are permitted to enter as well.
Q) I have to make a drawing by hand? No Photoshop? Why?
A) Obviously, many talented artists use photoshop, open canvas, and other programs to create pictures of excellent quality. The artists of Ankama use many of the same programs and there is no doubt that hours of intense labor and skill goes into their work. However, we are disallowing the use of the computer as a medium for this contest.
Ankama is interested in showing skill of our communities with real life mediums for several reasons. First, it's different! The novelty makes it more challenging. Second, it is more difficult to trace or copy artwork with traditional media. Finally, these types of traditional media are closer to what the characters inside d0fus might use in their own world. This means that it is not only a contest of skill, but an opportunity to roleplay by getting in touch with what it might be like to live as an artist inside the World of Twelve.
There will be other contests in the future that will allow computer-created artwork, but for this competition, only traditional media is permitted.
Q) I don't play on Rushu, Rosal, Solar, or Zatoishwan, where can I enter the contest?
A) Each community is holding their own semi-finals for this contest. If you speak English and play on Aermyne or Oto Mustam, you may submit your drawing here. If you play on Shika, you may enter here. If you play on Dark Vlad, you may enter here. All others, please visit your community's forum for more information.
Q) Where can I upload my drawing to submit it for the contest?
A) If you have already scanned or photographed your entry, you can use any of the free image hosting services available to upload your picture and submit it on the official thread. We suggest trying ImageShack, TinyPic, or Photobucket to start.
